POLLEN….

Golden Grains of Nutrition

Down through the ages, man has had the conviction that bee products
improve/health, vigor and vitality. This is understandable when you realize
that Bee Pollen is a complete food. Chemical analyses show pollen contains
every nutrient necessary to life - and perhaps something more, the "magic"
the bee puts in it. Pollen is a perfect food for man. It is often said that it is
a god-given miracle food that both nourishes and heals.

The golden grains from the bee hive possess remarkable, near miraculous, health promoting properties. Bee Pollen can sustain life by itself. The percentage of revivifying and rejuvenating elements in pollen far exceeds that in brewers yeast or wheat germ. Pollen contains all the essential amino acids we need each day, the richest source of vitamins found in nature, a lot of rutin (strengthen capillaries) and is high in RNA and DNA.

Immune Improvement
Pollen has also been seen as a great germ killer since it contains an antibiotic factor, effective against salomonella and some strains of collibacterial. Pollen also has been found to stimulate the immune system. It is high in fibre, it improves intestinal function and the white and red blood cell content.

Psychological Improvement
A Romanian study of 67 youngsters, 15-18 yrs, with antisocial behaviour who were angry, disruptive and rebelling were given dietary supplements of bee pollen, royal jelly and honey. This reduced the anti-social behaviour over time.

The bee pollen was found to improve mental performance in children over 12 weeks. It normalized cholesterol and these was a delay in the appearance of tumors (The animals in this study were fed 1 part pollen per 10,000 parts of food). The untreated group of mice had tumors appearing at 31 weeks. For the pollen group they occurred at 41 weeks and some animals were still free of tumors at 62 weeks.

Combating Cancer effects
At the University of Vienna, 25 females with inoperable uterine cancer were having chemotherapy. The group given pollen had a higher concentration of cancer fighting immune system cells, increased antibody production, and a markedly improved level of infection fighting and oxygen carrying red cells. They suffered less from the awful side effects of chemotherapy, if lessened the nausea and hair loss and they slept better. The control group didn't have these effects.

In 1978, a Yugoslavian experiment found similar results for these patients having chemotherapy - 30% of those taking pollen/royal jelly had no fatigue, 66% had light fatigue; 38% no longer suffered anorexia, 41% had light anorexia and 44% no longer had nausea. For 88.8% of cases there was an improvement.

Sexual Stamina
Pollen contains natural hormonal substances that stimulate and nourish the reproductive system. Sexual stamina and endurance seem improved when pollen is taken. A 1966 study found 44% improvement in sexual function. There were 176 male patients with a variety of sexual dysfunctions in the study group.

Bee Pollen contains a gonad tropic hormone similar to the human pituitary hormone, gonadotropin, which functions as a sex gland stimulant.

A study at the University of Sarajevo with impotent men, it was found that of these treated had a dramatic improvement in sperm count and more self confidence and were able to perform better sexually after 1 month on pollen.

Prostate improvement
For prostate problems 93 patients were studied in Sweden where there was inflammation of the vesicles and gland. There was a 92% improvement in the group given pollen, the inflammation and swelling disappeared. For the control group there was no significant effects.

Horminal Improvement
Drs. Salajan and Baltan - obtained an increase in ovulation in hens (more hen eggs) and they were of better biological value; when given maize pollen in their diet. This was from 2-5 parts pollen per 100 of food.

It is interesting to speculate that a woman wanting to ovulate may improve her chances of becoming pregnant by taking pollen. For menopause - there was a very positive result from taking pollen for 90% of the women studied.

Combating Allergies
Pollen works like a vaccination. The body produces antibodies that will cancel out the effects of the offending substance when the person is again exposed. After taking pollen, 94% of the patients became completely free from allergy symptoms: hay fever, pollen induced asthma, migranes, ulcers, colitis, urinary disorders and also sinus.

Stress reduction
Pollen also increases the recovery after stressed performance. This was shown in a study by former Russian Olympic Coach Remi Korchemy with a - track team. He found that the measured heart rate and blood pressure in athletes indicated that they were ready to run another lap sooner than a control group.

Stamina enhanced
The Bristish Sports Council recorded increases in strength as high as 40-50% in those taking bee pollen supplements.

Weight loss benefits
For weight loss; pollen stimulates metabolism. Its natural phenylalanine content helps eliminate cravings. Many famous people have realized the value of pollen like a former American President, Ronald Reagan. This was publicized in an article entitled Presidential Bee Power. Dr. Lars Erik Essen, a dermatologist in Sweden used bee pollen for skin problems, especially for acne.

Antiaging effects
Two professors in Russia found pollen stimulates cell renewal and has been found to have antiaging effects. Dr. Nicolas Vasillerich Tsitsin, the USSR's chief biologist and an expert on geriatrics, investigated why some people lived to an old age. He found in one village high in the mountains there were 200 people over 125 years old. They kept bees and regularly served a pollen residue on their tables. They ate the residue at the bottom of the hives which was rich in pollen.
One could easily come to the conclusion that by eating pollen "I'm not getting older I'm getting better".

"You can enjoy better health, super health or even perfect health..."
